Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Productivitism ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Productivitism mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your email address — used for authentication and account recovery.
  • A securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text.
  • A unique user identifier (UUID) — generated automatically to distinguish your account.

You may also sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. When you do, we receive only the email address and unique identifier provided by those services. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

You may also use the App in Guest / Offline Mode without creating an account. In this case, no account information is collected and your data remains on-device only.

1.2 User-Generated Content

If you create an account with sync enabled, we store the following content on our servers:

  • Characters — name, class, visual customization (skin tone, hair, outfit selections), stats (XP, focus minutes, tasks completed, habits maintained).
  • Tasks — title, description, difficulty rating, due date, status, subtasks, and linked character ID.
  • Habits — title, type, frequency, streak data, and daily completion history logs.
  • Voice Memo metadata — title and duration. Audio recording files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Settings — language preference, sound, haptics, notifications, and sync preferences.

1.3 Technical Data

We may automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system version — for compatibility and bug fixing.
  • App version — to track which version of the App you are using.
  • Timestamps of sync events — to resolve data conflicts.

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or browsing history.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
  • Synchronize your data across devices when sync is enabled.
  • Authenticate your account and recover access when needed.
  • Improve the App based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.
  • Respond to support requests you submit to us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Supabase

We use Supabase (supabase.com) as our backend-as-a-service provider for database storage and authentication. Your account data and synced content are stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's servers are located in the United States. You can review Supabase's privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.

3.2 Apple Sign-In

If you use Apple Sign-In, Apple may share your email address (or a relay address) with us. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

3.3 Google Sign-In

If you use Google Sign-In, Google may share your email address and profile information with us. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Data stored locally on your device (including voice recordings) is controlled by you and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device settings.

5. Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard security practices; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum digital age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent — you can disable sync at any time in Settings, which stops new data from being sent to our servers.

8. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure is based in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
